The California Association for MUSIC EDUCATION

Who is that special music educator who is shaping our profession in very meaningful ways?

Who made such an impact not only on their students but on we fellow music educators
that they are truly Hall of Famers?

Who is that classroom teacher that utilizes music so effectively in the classroom that we
music educators are in awe?

What music educator is effectively utilizing the music of diverse cultures in teaching music
to students?

Do you know any of these people?

If you do, then they need to be nominated for a state award. Although each of the sections submit names for these awards, nominations can also come from individuals. CMEA wants to make sure we honor those special people who make music shine in the lives of students. You may know one!

Nomination deadline for 2009 awards is
October 15, 2008
